We do not test for celiac disease genes. The celiac disease genetic test can only tell you if you have the genes that are permissible for celiac disease. However, the genetic test cannot tell you if you have an active case of celiac or if you will develop celiac. As much as 40% of the general population has the genes that are permissible for celiac disease.
