Do I really have to go back to eating gluten if I’ve already been gluten free?
Yes. Your blood test will not be accurate if you are not eating enough gluten to trigger your body's inflammatory response. This response is found in the biomarkers we test, so if you don't eat enough gluten for long enough, we can't give you an accurate result. If you are already 100% gluten free, then please consume at least the equivalent to 2 crackers a day for 6-8 weeks. We cannot guarantee accurate results if you are not following a gluten-containing diet for at least 6 weeks prior to your blood test.
